MoveBohol launched at MovePH Citizen Journalism Workshop

Raisa Serafica gave an orientation on Rappler's Move
23 July 2016 - #MovePH prime mover Raisa Serafica and Rappler Cebu's Mark Macasero visited Bohol over the weekend, not for the Sandugo festivities, but to facilitate a Citizen Journalism Workshop. Participants included student journalists from Bohol Island State University (BISU) Main Campus and Holy Name University (HNU), bloggers from the Bohol Bloggers Collective and freelance writers.

Move.PH is Rappler’s citizen journalism arm, a space where intelligent conversations and stories are made and that which can move people to act. The movement targets, but not limited to, millennials or digital natives.

The half-day activity set the wheels in motion for Bohol #Movers.

UM Manila senior Med student Kring Jabonilla spoke out about the spate of drug-related "extra judicial" killings in the province and the state's lack of general education and awareness regarding drug surrenders and the rights of 'surrenderers'.
Rappler Cebu's Ryan Macasero discussed "Storytelling 101"
DJ Arro and Angela Polot were chosen by peers as MoveBohol's co- lead movers.
